zinc-nickel

The zinc-nickel process, consist of depositing a binary alloy on the material surface, containing about 11%-16% nickel parts. This treatment ensures maximum corrosion resistance, even with a few microns thickness, and at elevated temperatures (+200°C).

The zinc-nickel process is free from Cr +6 and complies with RoHS (2002/95/EC), ELV (2000/53/EC) and 2003/36/EC. This treatment is approved by major car manufacturers.

This treatment provides a much higher resistance to corrosion in comparison to zinc-plating processes and is used for parts with complex shapes. This is possible thanks to the excellent uniformity of the thickness of the deposit. Exposure to white salts can reach and exceed the 196-240h and the 720-800h for exposure to red rust, according to the relevant standards ASTM B-117, UNI ISO 9227 and DIN 50021 SS.

The main legislations are: FIAT 9.57409, VW TL-244, 13750 VW, BMW GS 90010, OPEL GME 00252, DBL … 8451, DIN 50979, DIN 50962, CAT 1E0397, BREMBO BDS-11:24, ST_STR_087 Ducati, Moto Morini M40.02 / T and AMS 2417G.

Even in this case, the process can be followed by the application of a black (black) or silver (transparent) passivation treatment.

ZINC-NICKEL BLACK (black)

Zinc-nickel treatment with black colour.

This type of process guarantees a resistance needed in the automobile sector specifications.

After the treatment a layer of sealant can also be applied to increase resistance.

ZINC-NICKEL SILVER (transparent)

Zinc-nickel treatment with grey color.

This type of process guarantees a resistance required in the automobile sector specifications.

After the treatment a layer of sealant can also be applied to increase resistance.
