Zinc-Iron
Zinc-Ferro treatment is a zinc electrodeposition process with iron content of between 0.6-0.8% obtained by means of alkaline aqueous solutions with specific additives. It is used for technical purposes in a variety of applications. Compared to pure zinc, it has a higher corrosion resistance.
As in the case of “normal” zinc coating, this process can follow a passivation treatment: black or yellow.
ZINC-IRON BLACK
This type of treatment provides 8/12 micron thickness and a ferrous corrosion resistance to salt spray (ASTM B117) up to 500h and resistance to white oxide up to 250h.
ZINC-IRON YELLOW
This type of treatment provides 8/12 micron thickness and a ferrous corrosion resistance to salt spray (ASTM B117) up to 700h and to white oxide up to 400h.
