Pre-Treatments

PICKLING
The pickling treatment aims to eliminate the oxidation of the surface, or other contaminants from the metallic materials, in order to make the surface porous and prepared for further treatment.

DE-GREASING
Through the chemical-physical process of degreasing, we are able to disrupt, modify and skim off the oily and fat molecules that are found on the surface of a metallic material.

ULTRASOUND
The procedure of cleaning with ultrasound has the aim to improve the preparation for future treatments, especially the parts of the surface that are otherwise inaccessible, such as cavities, recesses and blind holes.

This operation is based on the action of ultrasound waves generated by high-frequency waves (20,000 to 40,000 Hz) produced by piezoelectric transducers positioned on the sides of the tank that contains a water-soluble detergent solution. This working cycle, favouring the detachment of the dirt particles and the solubility of the contaminants, re-creates mechanical cleaning on a molecular level.

SANDBLASTING
Through the blasting process, we are able to erode the most superficial part of a metal, using the abrasion from a jet of air and sand, for deep cleaning of the surface of the treated material. It will become opaque, frosted in appearance, and free of grooves, cracks or dents, suitable for subsequent electrochemical treatments.
