Electrolytic Galvanizing

Electroplating galvanizing is an electrodeposition process of zinc metal by electrolysis.

The material to be treated, after being adequately prepared (degreased, pickled, ballasted, etc.), is immersed in an electrolytic solution containing zinc salts. A current passage is then created between the piece and the solution that deposits the metal zinc on the surface of the workpiece itself.

Following this step, depending on customer requirements, a subsequent passivation treatment can be carried out, useful to increase the corrosion resistance of the zinc deposit and to give colour to the particular item being galvanized.

Below are all the passivations we make:

SURTEC 680, CHROMITING

Passivation for electrolytic galvanizing treatments and zinc alloys. A process that complies with the 2000/53 / CE (RoHS) Directives, 2002/96 (WEEE), slightly iridescent, with high corrosion resistance.

Up to 288 h of salt mist with 7 microns thick, in the absence of white rust (ASTM B117) and without the need for subsequent sealants!

Thermal shock does not adversely affect corrosion resistance (test for 8 h at 120 ° C).

Chromiting is far superior to the standard achieved with chromium-plated yellow and conventional hexavalent green.

Chromiting is the process that has had the greatest number of awards in the automotive industry and boasts the greatest use on an industrial scale.

Electrolytic zinc plating

The zinc-plating is an electroplating process of zinc metal by electrolysis.

The material to be treated, after being properly prepared (degreased, pickled, etc.), is immersed in an electrolytic solution containing zinc salts. It is therefore created an electric passage between the material and the solution that deposit the metallic zinc on the surface of the treated material.

Following this step, depending on the customer requirements, the material can receive a subsequent passivation treatment, which increases the corrosion resistance of the zinc deposit and gives the treated material a particular zinc coloration.

Below are listed all the passivation treatments we perform:

SURTEC 680, CHROMITING

Passivation for zinc electroplating and zinc alloys treatments. A process that complies with EU directives 2000/53 / EC (RoHS), 2002/96 (WEEE), slightly iridescent, with high resistance to corrosion.

The thermal shock does not adversely affect the corrosion resistance (test carried out for 8h at 120 ° C).

The chromiting far exceeds the standard achieved by conventional hexavalent green chrome and yellow chrome.

Chromiting is the process that has had the highest recognition in the automotive sector and has the most use on an industrial scale.
